Phu Quoc is an island in Kien Giang province in Vietnam. It is only 15 kilometres from Kampot province in Cambodia. It is 25 kilometres wide and 50 kiliometres long , the highest peak being  Chuha mountain at 603 metres. At the moment , 2011 , the only airport is a domestic airport with regular daily flights to Saigon on the mainland. Although a modern international airport is planned to open in 2012. There is plenty of accommodation on the island to cater for various budget’s , but many international hotels chains are moving in and investing heavily in expensive luxury hotels. There are also many outdoor activities to take part in , such as fishing , scuba diving etc. There are also a number of new bars and restaurants opening up all over the island.
